Promotional Posting Guidelines

 

Effective July 1, 2023:
Promotional posting on the tack strips around the SoE building NO LONGER need approval.

Posting of signs, notices, and/or advertisements by individuals or organizations outside of approved locations is PROHIBITED. This includes hallways, the ground, waste receptacles, elevators, doors, windows, walls, poles, and trees.

Building coordinators are authorized to remove improperly posted signs/flyers, notices, and/or advertisements in accordance with this policy.

Where to post flyers in the School of Education

  • Tack-strips at the entry way on the first floor
  • Tack-strips above water fountains on floors 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Guidelines

  • Posters should be hung with push pins only in the cork tack-strips
  • Posters are NOT to be hung on the glass windows at the entry to the building or in front of primary student-facing offices (i.e. DEI, GSO, UTE).
  • Commercial advertising and/or personal notices are prohibited
  • Posters should be no larger than 11" x 17"
  • Display of sexually suggestive objects or pictures and/or discriminatory portrayal of individuals are not allowed
  • Advertisements/flyers may not be placed on automobile windshields or indiscriminantly handed out to passers-by
