Books & Beyond is a student-led project with two main aims: to provide high-quality reading material for school children in Rwanda, a country that is experiencing a “book famine,” and to foster critical thinking skills as students author, illustrate, publish, and market an annual cross-cultural anthology of children’s stories.
Graduates in Instructional Systems Technology (GIST) is devoted to supporting the professional development and welfare of students matriculated in the Instructional Systems Technology program.
Indiana University Student Personnel Association (IUSPA) is the official graduate student assembly for all students in the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) program. It is a network of graduate students, HESA faculty and staff committed to the professional and personal growth of graduate students pursuing careers in higher education and student affairs.
Indiana University Graduate and Professional Student Organization (IU GPSO) serves over 8000 graduate and professional students at IU-Bloomington by providing academic support, community, advocacy, and graduate resources.
The SOEGSA aims to create a voice for School of Education graduate students and to support SoE students intellectual, social, and professional development. We seek to build a discourse among the SoE graduate students from all departments, faculty, and larger university, with consideration for diverse experiences and interests. We also seek to partner with and to create a collaborative forum for issues at the School of Education by uniting the Departmental GSOs (LSGSA, GIST, LCLE GSO et al) for common goals and problem-solving, yet to not create a redundant GSA.
The Learning Sciences Graduate Student Association is a student-run organization that is open to all Indiana University Education Graduate Students with a concentration in Learning Sciences. The LSGSA is designed to support professional, academic, and social opportunities for the graduate student community.
Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) coordinates activities that encourage both academic and social relationships between cohorts. The group works with faculty members and other professionals to provide students with professional as well as community service opportunities.
