Meet new friends while getting involved in the IU School of Education through the Dean’s Advisory Council.
The Dean’s Advisory Council works directly with the staff and Associate Dean of Undergraduate and Teacher Education to provide ideas, input, and feedback to help shape policies and procedures for the School of Education. The group also creates and participates in special projects and activities, as well as bringing in speakers.
This year, DAC’s goals include creating effective learning environments and worthwhile experiences for the School of Education while also aiming to better advertise the organization so the School of Education can become more informed on their contributions.
Any interested undergraduate School of Education students are welcome to join the DAC. Students who are interested must complete an application process, which they will receive after joining the School of Education Dean's Advisory Council invitation through the beINvolved website. They can also message the group through Instagram for more information.
“Dean's Advisory Council is an amazing way to be involved early in your college career. It creates strong bonds and lasting friendships with people that share similar goals, and aspirations as yourself. DAC is a great way to make a big school feel small!” said Kathryn Hall, social media chair for DAC.
