Buck named Armstrong chair

Gayle Buck has been named the next Martha Lea and Bill Armstrong Chair for Teacher Education.

Buck is currently the Academic Director of P-12 Engagement and Faculty Fellow of P-12 School Engagement at the IU School of Education.

“I am honored to work with the many exceptional teachers associated with this program. The Armstrong program has provided many opportunities to bring outstanding teachers into the School of Education to ensure we continuously confront timely and essential topics. I look forward to continuing the path of excellence that has been established,” Buck said. “In addition, I plan to strengthen the relationships we have fostered within the School by engaging the Armstrong teachers with the efforts outlined in our Strategic Plan. Many of our goals associated with service to the Indiana schools would greatly benefit from having these expert teachers involved.”
